A Haiku For Blogging Angels

Well, I'm not entirely sure it qualifies as a haiku poem, because it's so long since I wrote any poetry at all, and I never could remember whether it was 17 or 19 syllables! But it's for all the lovely angels on here ...

A small word from you
Can clear clouds and tame tempests
You make the day smile :o)

I suspect that the more a writer is published the more pressure they feel, and I can only imagine what writing at that level is like, but I can tell from reading the blogs on here that you are an incredibly warm and supportive community and although I have only been here for a few days, I have felt so welcome.

I wish us all the very best of everything in 2008 ... which, besides world peace, is my one and only wish for this new moon.

Or at least, my only written wish, the others are floating around somewhere ...

Hi and welcome to blogland. I've only been blogging since November but absolutely love it!

I just find it incredible that there are so many people out there who enjoy writing for its own sake. Up until this year I just thought I was a bit odd ....

Lovely poem!

I didn't know which one of your blogs to comment on. All so interesting:-)

Blogland certainly is a nice place to be. I'm constantly amazed at the goodwill and support, not to mention the huge pools of advice and information. Where else do you get that and have fun:-)

I loved Hens Dancing too. In fact I'm re-reading it now for 'research' purposes:-)

Lane, thank you so much for the lovely comment!

I totally agree with you, having spent the past week in an almost constant state of amazement at how wonderful everyone is on here, and how much interesting and useful information there is. Having so much fun AND learning loads ... awesome!

Hens Dancing is fab, how lucky of you to have an excuse to read it again!

Have picked up Raffaella's next instalment of Venetia's saga (Summertime) more than once this week, intending to start it, but have somehow been distracted ... or perhaps it's more a case of knowing somewhere inside that if i start it I won't put it down until I've finished it, and there are always too many other things to do today!

But I'll start it tomorrow ...

:o)

As I said to you in my email, Moondreamer, I had no one to guide me when I first started writing (long before the Internet entered every household). So I know how daunting it can be to feel you're doing this thing alone. It helps when you realise you're not :-)
